Wednesday was a very busy day! The children enjoyed Christmas dancing, Christmas dinner and a visit from Santa!

Our Class 3 children visited the residents at Boroughbridge Manor Care Home to wish them all a very merry Christmas this week. Our children delivered their own hand-made Christmas cards and sang Christmas tunes to entertain the staff and residents.
Class 1 children in nursery, reception and Year 1 wowed their families with beautiful singing and amazing acting at their nativity performance. The children wrote their own nativity play, and designed and made the costumes, props and scenery with the help of the wonderful staff in Class 1.
Class 3 children spent a day at Queen Ethelburgas taking part in a Science Technology Engineering Maths (STEM) day. The children took part in all sorts of STEM activities including making a bath bomb!

Class 2 and Class 3 children were very entertained at the Dick Whittington pantomime at Harrogate Theatre this week. It was wonderful to see so much laughter and excitement on the children’s faces! Thank you FORCES for funding this event.
Our choir sang Christmas carols at the Boroughbridge Christmas Lights Switch On last night and they did amazing, thank you to all the children and parents.
Thank you so much to all our families who provided us with empty egg boxes and some were even painted green – thank you so much for helping us! We have created our recycled Christmas tree and this is on display at St James church. Please vote for our Roecliffe recycled Christmas tree!
A huge well done to all of our children from Reception to Year 6 for their efforts during the Cross Country tournament at Boroughbridge High School on Wednesday. We are very proud of your determination to run your fastest for a long, long way!
We learned about the Bible story of Sarah and Abraham in our Collective Worship today when we thought about Advent. It’s almost here!
