The Catch Up premium was used to provide additional wellbeing and academic support for those pupils most in need.
Pupils who were in need of wellbeing support were identified through the Rising Stars online survey and targeted support was put in place in school. Some additional support for target pupils was provided by external agencies such as the Healthy Child Team and the SEMH team.
Reading screening took place on the pupils’ return to school after the 2021 lockdown and additional reading material was purchased. The reading provision is now accurately aligned to our validated phonics program – Little Wandle. The children in Years 2 – 6 have also benefited from additional reading material.
Additional staffing hours in the autumn and spring terms provided the wellbeing and academic support for all pupils across school.
